Spooky Good Style: Spring Favorites Episode 3

Happy Spring Equinox! It’s finally appropriate to be into all things SPRING – spring clothes, spring-o-ween, pumpkins, bats…you know, your typical spring stuff.

This spring I plan to continue to wear overalls and jumpers – because they’re airy, whimsical, fun and make me feel like I stepped right out of the 1990s.

I am in love with this plaid jumpsuit because of it’s fun fall pattern – but is lightweight enough to sport during spring and summer.

It’s never too early to be thinking about spring style! The weather is a roller-coaster in Oklahoma right now, and these warmer winter days have me conjuring up outfits with some of my favorite trends – like metallic hues and midi-skirts!

Spooks & Shoes: 4

My favorite pair of leopard flats have seen better days. This prompted me on a search for a replacement pair and I was not disappointed in my upgrade! Leopard flats are an absolute must as a closet staple. They are a fun print that can mix well and match with many different outfits.  I ended up paying $15.99 for my pair from Amazon.com!  I am always a bit wary of ordering shoes from Amazon, but these “Dream Pairs” were true to size, comfortable and the seller had a TON of different colors and patterns to select (I’ll keep that in mind for the future!). Spooky Good Style: Dressed Up Graphic Tees

Sometimes you just gotta dress up a graphic tee! I love mixing casual pieces with something a bit more dressier to give outfits some edginess. That was my inspiration for the outfits below!  Both of the tee shirts came from Walmart (the Misfits top I snagged in the men’ section and the sugar skull top was last year’s style around Halloween in the junior’s section – keep an eye out for some spooky graphic tees which should be trickling in stores shortly after the “Back to School” season).

Spooks & Shoes: 3

What can you get with $3? A gourmet coffee? A pumpkin to carve? A bag of candy?  How about A PAIR OF VELOUR STACKED HEEL BOOTIES!  I went shopping with my future sister-in-law the other weekend and we stopped into Rue21, and of course, I go straight to the clearance section and see two pairs of these left in my size and marked down to $3. That was the ultimate sign that they needed to come home with me and adorn my feet this fall. The stars were truly aligned for me that day!

Spooky Good Style: Skirts and Graphic Tees

I love putting together outfits! I know to some it seems like a chore, but I love clothes and how they are a fantastic means to express yourself. In my opinion, your outfit can make you a walking work of art. You never know when your duds might just be someone’s inspiration.  One of my favorite looks in the summer/early fall is pairing graphic tees with fun, flowing, patterned skirts.

Check out my looks below for some scary good ideas:

Since this is my SECOND Spooks and Shoes post – I’ll do a double shoe feature (also because I ordered a pair of booties that came this week that I am literally head over heels for).
