Greetings spooky friends! It’s been a good while since I shared a “Spooks & Shoes” post!
This is partly because shoes are the last thing I need (last time I cleaned my shoe closet I counted over 75 pairs). Old habits die hard, because I recently treated myself to a new pair of kicks AND something spooky. So here we are again!
It’s never too early to be thinking about spring style! The weather is a roller-coaster in Oklahoma right now, and these warmer winter days have me conjuring up outfits with some of my favorite trends – like metallic hues and midi-skirts!

If I see someone wearing an awesome pair of shoes – I have no problem inquiring about where those beautiful feet coverings came from. That is how I discovered these fantastic cutout flat Wenda booties from Target!
I found these booties last season from Rue21 and they are by far one of my favorite pairs of booties I own! They’re comfy and add just enough height without being hard to walk in. Plus, they go with so many outfits!
Having a go-to bootie is essential – for all seasons in my opinion! Am I the only one who will sneak on some booties in the summer? These have the perfect peek-a-book cutout that they work in cool and warm weather.
This is slightly embarrassing for me to admit, but I have an addiction to shoes. Especially shoes that are on sale. It is frightening. For example, earlier this year I was cleaning out the coat and shoe closet and lined up my entire shoe collection in rows. I counted over 75 pairs…shocking, I know! I justify my shoe collection by telling myself, “hey, at least I did not pay more than $20 per pair!”
