I love the month of October because I can wear a spooky inspired outfit EVERY DAY of the month (technically, you can wear a spooky inspired every day of the year – but there’s something even more magical about these outfits when the calendar reads October!).
The best way to create your spooky wardrobe is to thrift your entire look – that way you can save money, and still look spooktacular! I found LOTS of great ensembles thanks to Goodwill Tulsa this season.
I know that in this new world of COVID-19, shopping for second-hand items can seem scary, but Goodwill is keeping shoppers safe by quarantining all donated items before they are available for resale. Plus, when you shop at Goodwill, the sales support jobs, job training and job placement services that they provide. Your support of Goodwill Tulsa during this pandemic is providing GOOD things for many lives and the environment. Creating outfits this way allows you to reuse and recycle clothes that would otherwise go into the landfill.
Right now, shoppers at Goodwill Tulsa are required to wear a face mask and follow physical distancing guidelines. Their employees are also being screened for illness, wearing PPE, and disinfecting carts and high touch surfaces per CDC guidelines.
Want to see what spooky good looks I put together from my latest excursion to Goodwill Tulsa? Keep reading! These outfits are perfect for wearing to your October Zoom meetings or for sharing on social media as we celebrate Halloween “digitally” more than we ever have!
This first look is a perfect business casual Halloween get-up. This long sleeve embroidered tee reminds me of the shirts my school teachers would wear around the holidays. There’s something about embroidered holiday motifs that were super popular in late 1990s and early 2000s when I was elementary school and I recalled my teachers wearing these styles (I’m also fairly certain my mom wore shirts like this too).
This gold metallic swing skirt was begging to come with me and matched the gold lettering on this tee perfectly. I love to mix animal print with my outfits, so these cute little slip on clogs are the cherry on top of this fun little look.
Speaking of animal print, I could not resist pairing this leopard print skirt with this awesome and super soft thrifted “Trick ‘or’ Treat” screen printed top. I found all of the tops featured in the post in the Goodwill Tulsa Halloween Zone. I was surprised to find some many great trendy and versatile Halloween styles!
This darling little 3/4 length sleeve top is an excellent look to sport to the pumpkin patch this season! I loved all of the fun smiling felt jack-o-lanterns on this top and it paired so well with these super high waisted trousers I found in the racks at Goodwill as well. I just love a fully thrifted look!
And lastly, here is a great casual Halloween look! This super soft jack-o-lantern raglan also glows in the dark. I’ll be spending lots of time this month lounging and hanging out in this thrifted top.
If you’re looking to add some one-of-a-kind Halloween staples to your wardrobe this fall, look no further than Goodwill! You’ll get a fright out of all the terrifyingly affordable threads there are for you to rock!
I hope I’ve inspired you with some ideas on what to wear this Halloween season!
