Creepy Craftmas: Nightmare Before Christmas Wreath

Get ready to deck your halls with something frightful – like this wreath!

The entire time I was working on this easy DIY I could not stop singing “Making Christmas” – the musical number really adds a lot of authenticity to your work!

I broke my Christmas wreath last year accidentally, and I wanted a hint of spookiness to live on in my holiday decor, and Tim Burton’s “Nightmare Before Christmas” marries both spooky and Christmas perfectly.

Read on to find out how to make your own present devouring greenery:

I got the wreath for $4 on sale at Michael’s but you can find a smaller wreath and accessories all at the Dollar Tree as well to make this less expensive.

Supplies you’ll need:

  • Greenery wreath
  • Red bow
  • Yellow marker or paint
  • Scissors
  • White poster board
  • Hot glue

The first step if to fluff your wreath out if it is still flat.

After that. secure the bow somewhere close to the middle of the bottom of your wreath (I do not have a good eye for this stuff but I think I got as close to center as I could!).

Simply hot glue OR use the wire to tie your bow in place.

I then traced the outline of my evil eye and used the first eyeball as a template for my second eye.

Color them yellow – or red, or blue! Whatever evil eye color resonates with you.

I like to place things as I go to get an idea on how the rest of the wreath will look…

I started to cut spooky fangs from the white poster board in various sizes and shapes for a snarled look.

I secured all of the pieces using my favorite craft tool of all time – HOT GLUE! Anything can be attached to something using hot glue…

Once dry, you’re ready to haunt your halls!
